Mercedes-Benz 2015 C-Class is one of hot launches slated in 2014. The next generation C-Class has been vastly improved and features the all new MRA platform from Mercedes-Benz. MRA -Modular Rear-Wheel-Drive Architecture and brings several new features. It has received a facelift that makes it look bolder than before.
It features sweptback headlamps and a larger front grille with stylish bumpers. The sporty alloys and the bold lines add to the side profile. The slightly curvier body works well and ensures that the design flows smoothly from the front to the back. The new tail lamps resemble the ones on the new S-Class and look quite remarkable on the C-Class. The design changes don't end here because the new C-Class is infact wider by 4cm and longer by 10cm over its current iteration.
It also brings a spacious boot with a capacity of 500 liters for storing your luggage. As far as the interior goes the exact feature list is still unknown but from what we understand so far is that the new C-Class will bring a bigger infotainment system, and few features from the top of the line S-Class will trickle down to the 2015 C-Class.
C-Class will come in Petrol and Diesel engine options. The diesel engine is expected to make around 176PS of power while one of the petrol options might be a 184 Bhp four-cylinder mill. The other more powerful option will be a 337PS V6 petrol engine which will surely please the enthusiasts. An AMG version is expected post launch and the possibility of a hybrid also exists as of now. The engines are expected to come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT auto-gearbox. But in India Mercedes-Benz might just launch the C-Class with the Automatic gearbox.
The new C-Class will ditch the MacPherson suspension at the front for a double wishbone system to improve its handling prowess. Tipping scales at 1380 kgs it will be quite fast with the powerful engine options. With features such as Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, Hydraulic Brake Assist with Junction Assist along with Attention Assist amongst other modern features it is sure to be a hit amongst luxury buyers in India. It is a fantastic looking sedan that will have the features and the performance to match its design.
